How to Level Jewelcrafting in New World

Jewelcrafting is one of the most sought-after crafting professions in New World. It allows players to create powerful jewelry, including rings, necklaces, and amulets, as well as gems that provide various buffs and bonuses. Since jewelry is a crucial part of character builds, leveling Jewelcrafting efficiently can provide a steady income, useful gear, and can even support other aspects of your gameplay. Whether you’re looking to craft for your own benefit, for friends, or to make a profit, this comprehensive guide will take you through the best strategies and tips for leveling Jewelcrafting in New World.

What is Jewelcrafting in New World?

Jewelcrafting is a crafting profession that allows players to create jewelry (rings, amulets, and necklaces) as well as gemstones that can be socketed into weapons and armor. These crafted items provide a variety of benefits, such as:

Stat bonuses (like increased Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence)

Unique passives (e.g., increase critical chance, boost healing output, or stamina regeneration)

Elemental resistances (helping with specific types of damage)

Buffs and debuffs that can enhance a player’s combat performance or provide utility.

Unlike other crafting professions, Jewelcrafting involves a combination of metals (like gold and silver), gems (such as emeralds, rubies, and sapphires), and crafting tools. Additionally, as a Jewelcrafter, you will also use jewelcrafting stations scattered throughout Aeternum to craft your items.

Given the immense power of the items Jewelcrafting creates, it’s no wonder that this profession is a staple of endgame builds and an essential part of the game’s economy. Let’s dive into the best ways to level Jewelcrafting efficiently and maximize your returns.

How to Level Jewelcrafting: The Basics

Leveling Jewelcrafting requires a blend of gathering materials, crafting items, and strategic planning. Unlike some professions that have a linear progression based on crafted items alone, Jewelcrafting has a few specific nuances to be aware of to speed up the leveling process.

1. Gathering the Necessary Materials

To craft jewelry and gemstones, you’ll need several key resources. Understanding where to get these materials and gathering them efficiently is the first step in leveling your Jewelcrafting profession.

Materials Needed:

Metals: Gold, Silver, and Platinum are the primary metals used in crafting jewelry. These metals can be gathered from ore nodes throughout Aeternum.

Gems: There are many different gems you can collect and use for crafting. Common gems include Emeralds, Rubies, Amethysts, and Sapphires, but rarer variants such as Diamond or Opals will be required for higher-tier crafting. Gems can be gathered from Gem Nodes scattered around the world or purchased at the Trading Post use New World Gold.

Resins and Oils: These are often needed to craft certain types of jewelry and are used for enhancing the final product’s attributes.

You can gather ores and gems through mining and gathering. A great way to increase your efficiency is by focusing on Resource Depots or Crafting Locations on the map, which typically have a high density of the materials you need.

2. Crafting and Progression: Milestones in Jewelcrafting

Jewelcrafting, like any crafting profession, progresses through several tiers. The key to leveling up quickly is crafting the most experience-efficient items at each milestone. Here’s a breakdown of each tier and the most efficient crafting methods for each.

Tier 1: Levels 0–50

At the early stages of Jewelcrafting, you will be working with basic resources like Copper, Silver, and Low-Level Gems. While it’s tempting to craft a variety of items, focus on a few key ones to level up quickly.

Items to Craft:

Copper Rings and Amulets: Start with crafting basic copper jewelry. You won’t need a lot of resources, and it’s a fast way to rack up experience.

Low-Level Gemstones: Use gems like Amethyst, Topaz, or Citrine for crafting these early pieces. Not only do these items give you a solid experience boost, but they also become useful for other players at early levels.

While crafting these basic items won’t yield the best profit, they will help you unlock more advanced recipes as you progress.

Tier 2: Levels 50–100

Once you reach level 50, you will have access to more refined resources and higher-tier recipes. This is where you can start crafting more valuable and profitable items.

Items to Craft:

Gold Rings and Necklaces: Crafting jewelry from Gold will give you a significant boost in experience. Gold Rings and Necklaces are also a staple for low-to-mid-tier players, so there’s demand for these items.

Upgraded Gemstones: By now, you’ll be able to use gems like Emeralds and Rubies, which will increase the quality of your crafted jewelry. Use these to craft jewelry that provides important stat boosts.

Jewelry with Buffs: Try to focus on crafting jewelry that provides useful buffs, such as increased damage or better resistances. These will have better demand and can help you increase your crafting experience.

Tier 3: Levels 100–150

By level 100, you unlock more complex recipes and higher-end gems. You can start focusing on more niche or powerful jewelry items that cater to specific builds.

Items to Craft:

Platinum Jewelry: Crafting Platinum Rings and Necklaces with better stats will yield the highest returns for experience and resource investment. Platinum is a valuable material, and this jewelry will be sought after for mid-game builds.

Gems with Enhanced Bonuses: Crafting jewelry with special gem bonuses (e.g., Emerald for increased mana regeneration or Ruby for strength boosts) is a great way to level up while creating valuable items.

Rare Gemstones: Use Legendary Gems (like Diamond and Opals) for higher-tier crafting. These gems require more time to gather but yield better results, both in terms of crafting experience and item value.

Tier 4: Levels 150–200

At level 150, you unlock some of the best recipes in Jewelcrafting, and this is where your true crafting power comes into play. By now, you should focus on crafting high-quality, end-game jewelry that will be in demand across the server.

Items to Craft:

Epic Jewelry Sets: Craft Epic (purple) rings, amulets, and necklaces with powerful attribute boosts (Strength, Intelligence, Constitution, etc.).

Sockets and Enchanted Jewelry: High-tier jewelry allows players to socket Gems that provide significant boosts to their builds. Focus on crafting items that feature these high-demand stats.

Endgame Legendary Jewelry: As you approach level 200, you’ll start crafting the best jewelry pieces for endgame players, including those with powerful buffs and a variety of customization options.

These high-tier pieces are not only useful for personal gear but are also highly cheap New World Coins in the Trading Post. Crafting these items requires a good stock of rare materials, so make sure to invest time in gathering or trading for them.

3. Maximizing Jewelcrafting Efficiency

While crafting your way to higher levels, there are a few strategies you can use to maximize your Jewelcrafting efficiency and make the most of your resources.

Craft in Bulk

Just like other crafting professions, crafting in bulk can yield the best results. Stockpile your materials and craft several pieces of jewelry at once, particularly when you’re crafting mid-tier items (gold or platinum). This method maximizes your returns on experience and materials.

Sell High-Demand Items

Jewelry is always in demand, especially for players aiming to optimize their builds. Keep an eye on the Trading Post for what’s selling well. Craft items that align with current meta builds, such as pieces that provide extra healing, damage buffs, or elemental resistances.

Use Higher-Level Crafting Stations

If you craft at an upgraded crafting station, you’ll have a higher chance of crafting high-quality items. Stations with tiered bonuses (e.g., increased chances for rarer gemstones or higher durability) should be prioritized for better results.

Take Advantage of Crafting Bonuses

Watch out for crafting bonuses and seasonal events that increase crafting experience or material yields. Participating in faction missions that boost crafting experience or gather materials during global gathering bonuses can significantly speed up your progression.

Conclusion

Leveling Jewelcrafting in New World can be a rewarding but resource-intensive journey. From crafting simple copper jewelry at the beginning to making powerful legendary rings and amulets at the endgame, Jewelcrafting offers a variety of options for players looking to optimize their builds or make a profit. By focusing on efficient crafting strategies, gathering essential materials, and understanding market demands, you can level your Jewelcrafting skill quickly while producing valuable gear for yourself and others.

As with any crafting profession, the key to success in Jewelcrafting is planning, patience, and persistence. Whether you’re a solo player or part of a faction, the demand for high-quality jewelry will always be there. So, gather your materials, craft your best items, and enjoy the journey to becoming a master Jewelcrafter in New World.

New World Aeternum: 8 Beginner Tips to Get You Started

Amazon Game Studios’ New World takes players into the mysterious, untamed world of Aeternum, a land filled with danger, magic, and an abundance of resources to explore. As a new player, the game offers a wide array of activities ranging from combat and crafting to exploration and faction warfare. With its open-world sandbox mechanics and complex progression systems, New World can feel overwhelming for beginners.

To help you get off to the best possible start, we’ve compiled 8 beginner tips that will set you up for success in Aeternum. Whether you’re looking to become a seasoned warrior, master a crafting profession, or simply explore the vast landscapes, these tips will guide you through the early stages of the game and ensure you thrive in this challenging new world.

1. Focus on the Main Questline (at least early on)

When you first step into Aeternum, you’ll be greeted with a flood of quests, side activities, and world events. While exploring these can be fun, focusing on the main questline early on is essential in New World Gold. The main questline introduces you to key mechanics of the game, such as:

Basic combat: How to fight enemies using different weapon types.

Crafting and gathering: You’ll learn how to harvest resources and craft tools, weapons, and consumables.

Factions: You’ll be introduced to the game’s faction system, which plays a significant role in your progression and PvP activities.

Town Projects and Territory Control: The main story helps you understand how towns work and how the game’s economy is structured.

The main questline will guide you through important milestones and unlock new areas and activities, ensuring you don’t miss out on anything crucial. Plus, completing these quests rewards you with useful items, experience, and gold that will help you along your journey.

2. Gather Everything You Can

One of the most important aspects of New World is gathering. Aeternum is filled with abundant resources, and harvesting them is key to your survival and progression. As you journey across the world, keep an eye out for materials like wood, ores, fibers, and herbs. These resources are essential for:

Crafting tools, weapons, and armor

Upgrading your town or settlement

Trading with other players or NPCs

You can gather resources using different tools like axes for wood, pickaxes for mining ores, and sickles for plants. Whenever you find yourself walking by a resource node, take a few moments to harvest it, as you’ll need these materials later. Over time, you’ll develop a better sense of what resources are more important for your specific goals, but early on, it’s best to gather everything you can.

Additionally, leveling up your gathering skills will unlock new crafting options and increase the resources you obtain, so don’t ignore this aspect of the game.

3. Choose a Weapon and Stick With It

At the start of the game, you’ll be able to equip a variety of weapons, such as swords, axes, muskets, bows, and more. While the game allows you to switch between weapons, it’s highly recommended to choose one weapon type and stick with it for the early levels. Here’s why:

Weapon Mastery: By using a single weapon, you’ll be able to unlock Weapon Mastery skills. These skills offer powerful abilities that increase your effectiveness in combat.

Resource Efficiency: Each weapon type has its own specific playstyle and combat rhythm. Sticking to one weapon allows you to better learn its strengths, weaknesses, and how to use it in different situations.

Combat Proficiency: New World’s combat system is skill-based, meaning that learning the ins and outs of a single weapon type early on will help you feel more confident in your fights.

Some beginner-friendly weapons include the Sword and Shield (great for defense and survivability), the Bow (ranged attacks and mobility), or the Fire Staff (magic with area-of-effect spells). Regardless of the weapon you choose, focus on mastering its abilities and unlocking weapon-specific perks.

4. Get Involved in Crafting and Refining

Crafting is a huge part of New World, and learning how to craft from the beginning will give you a significant advantage. Not only does crafting allow you to make useful tools, weapons, and armor, but it also opens up a wealth of opportunities for trading and selling items to other players.

To get started with crafting, here’s what you should focus on:

Level up your gathering skills to obtain the resources needed for crafting.

Upgrade crafting stations in settlements. Early on, towns will have basic crafting stations, but you’ll want to upgrade them to access higher-tier recipes.

Specialize in one or two crafting disciplines. It’s a good idea to focus on one or two specific crafting professions (such as Weaponsmithing, Armoring, or Alchemy) rather than trying to do everything at once.

Crafting items for yourself can save you gold and help you optimize your gear as you progress. Plus, if you want to make money, you can sell high-quality crafted items at the Trading Post.

5. Join a Faction Early

Factions play an integral role in New World’s PvP and PvE mechanics. When you reach level 10, you’ll be able to join one of three factions: the Marauders, Syndicate, or Covens. Each faction has its own set of benefits, missions, and rewards. Faction benefits include:

Faction Missions: These are repeatable quests that grant valuable experience and rewards, such as faction tokens, cheap New World Coins, gear, and crafting materials.

PvP Influence: Factions fight for control of settlements and territories. Joining a faction gives you access to PvP battles, where you can contribute to territory control.

Faction Gear: As you complete faction missions, you can exchange faction tokens for high-level gear and consumables.

Joining a faction early allows you to start earning faction rewards, participate in faction-based PvP, and take part in the territory wars and events that shape the world of Aeternum.

6. Manage Your Inventory Carefully

As a new player, one of the most challenging aspects of New World is inventory management. Your inventory space is limited, and carrying too many items can weigh you down and make it difficult to move around efficiently. Here are some inventory tips:

Sell, drop, or salvage unnecessary items. If you’re carrying too much junk that doesn’t serve your crafting or combat needs, get rid of it to free up space.

Use your storage chests. Each settlement has a storage chest where you can store items for later use. This is especially useful for gathering materials you don’t need immediately.

Upgrade your inventory. There are ways to increase your inventory space through the use of Backpacks and by increasing your storage in various settlements.

By managing your inventory effectively, you’ll have more room for valuable resources, crafted items, and loot drops.

7. Pay Attention to Azoth

Azoth is a special currency in New World that plays a crucial role in various aspects of the game, from fast traveling to crafting high-tier gear. You can earn Azoth by completing quests, fighting enemies, and gathering resources, but you’ll also need to spend Azoth to make progress in the game. Here are the most important uses for Azoth:

Fast Travel: Azoth is required to fast travel between settlements. While it’s tempting to teleport all over the map, use Azoth sparingly to avoid running out at crucial moments.

Crafting: Some crafting recipes require Azoth to increase the chances of crafting rare items. When you craft an item, you’ll often have the option to use Azoth to boost the quality or improve the outcome.

Upgrading Gear: You’ll also need Azoth to upgrade your crafting stations and gear, which will be vital to crafting high-level equipment.

Make sure to manage your Azoth carefully, as it can be a precious resource that you’ll need throughout your journey.

8. Learn to Dodge, Block, and Use the Environment

Combat in New World is action-oriented, meaning that you need to be agile and aware of your surroundings. It’s essential to learn how to dodge attacks, block when necessary, and use the environment to your advantage. Here are some tips for success in combat:

Dodge Roll: Dodging is your primary defense against most attacks. It allows you to avoid damage and reposition quickly.

Block: Some weapons (like the Sword and Shield) allow you to block incoming attacks, which reduces damage and gives you a moment to counterattack.

Positioning: Always be mindful of your position in battle. Stay mobile and use terrain to your advantage, such as finding cover from ranged enemies or backing up toward safer areas.

As you progress, learning the intricacies of combat, timing your dodges, and blocking effectively will give you an edge in tougher encounters.

Conclusion

Starting in New World can feel overwhelming, but by following these beginner tips, you’ll find yourself progressing quickly and enjoying the many facets the game has to offer. From focusing on the main questline to gathering resources, crafting, and learning combat mechanics, these tips will help you avoid common pitfalls and give you a strong foundation to build upon as you venture deeper into the world of Aeternum.

Whether you want to craft the best gear, conquer territories, or explore every corner of the map, New World offers a vast and dynamic world filled with opportunities. Take your time, experiment, and most importantly, enjoy your adventure in Aeternum!

How to Activate Crossplay in New World: Aeternum

In recent years, crossplay has become one of the most sought-after features in multiplayer online games, offering players the ability to connect with friends and other gamers regardless of the platform they are using. New World, Amazon Game Studios’ ambitious massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), has become a fan favorite for its immersive world, engaging combat system, and intricate crafting mechanics. With the addition of crossplay, New World allows players on PC and Amazon Luna to experience the game together, broadening the game’s social dynamics and increasing the player pool.

In this article, we will explore the steps to activate crossplay in New World Gold, as well as discuss its benefits and some of the essential considerations players should be aware of before enabling the feature.

Understanding Crossplay in New World: Aeternum

Before we dive into the specifics of how to activate crossplay in New World, it’s essential to understand what crossplay actually is and how it functions within the game.

Crossplay allows players on different platforms (in this case, PC and Amazon Luna) to play together in the same game world. New World initially launched as a PC-exclusive title, but with the introduction of Amazon Luna (Amazon’s cloud gaming platform), the game expanded its reach to those who prefer playing on different devices, such as streaming to TVs or other platforms supported by Luna. Crossplay enables both PC and Luna users to interact seamlessly, whether they are participating in PvP, completing quests, gathering resources, or engaging in massive world events together.

One important thing to note is that crossplay in New World is automatically enabled by default. This means that, unless players choose to disable it, they will automatically be able to play with others regardless of whether they’re using a PC or Amazon Luna. However, some players may want more control over this setting, and for those who wish to turn crossplay off for any reason, there is a way to do so.

Let’s break down the process of activating and managing crossplay in New World: Aeternum.

Steps to Activate Crossplay in New World: Aeternum

As mentioned earlier, crossplay in New World is enabled by default, so most players won’t need to perform any steps to start playing with others across different platforms. However, if you want to ensure that crossplay is activated (or reactivated after it has been disabled), you can follow these steps:

1. Launch New World

Start by launching the game on your respective platform (PC or Amazon Luna). You will need to have the game fully updated to ensure you have access to the latest crossplay features and settings.

2. Navigate to Settings

Once you’ve logged into your account and are at the main screen of the game, you will need to access the settings menu to make adjustments to crossplay. To do this:

On the PC version of New World, click the “Settings” icon, typically located in the lower-right corner of the screen.

On Amazon Luna, navigate to the settings section within the Luna client, where the option to adjust in-game settings for New World will appear.

3. Select “Gameplay” Settings

Once you are in the settings menu, locate the tab or section labeled “Gameplay”. This section controls all the core gameplay features of New World, including combat settings, controls, and social features like crossplay.

4. Enable Crossplay

Within the Gameplay Settings tab, you should see an option for “Crossplay”. If this setting is turned off, simply toggle it to the on position. The text might read something like “Allow crossplay” or “Enable crossplay.” Once toggled, this will allow you to play with players on Amazon Luna if you’re on PC, or vice versa.

5. Save and Exit Settings

After toggling the crossplay setting, be sure to save your settings and exit the menu. The changes will take effect immediately, and you will be able to enjoy playing with people across both platforms.

How to Disable Crossplay (If Desired)

Some players prefer to play only with others on the same platform, whether due to concerns about balancing, performance, or simply wanting to limit their multiplayer experience. If you want to disable crossplay, you can do so by following a similar process:

1. Open Gameplay Settings

Navigate to the “Gameplay” section of the settings menu, as explained earlier.

2. Disable Crossplay

Find the crossplay setting and toggle it off. When disabled, you will only be able to play with others who are on the same platform as you.

3. Save and Exit Settings

After toggling crossplay off, don’t forget to save your settings. The game will automatically restrict matchmaking to players on the same platform.

Crossplay Benefits in New World

Activating crossplay in New World can significantly enhance the overall gaming experience for players. Below are some of the key benefits that crossplay brings to the game:

1. Larger Player Pool

Crossplay allows players from both PC and Amazon Luna to interact in the same game world, effectively increasing the total player pool for matchmaking. This ensures faster queue times for PvP activities such as wars, invasions, and expeditions. With more players participating, the game feels more vibrant, and players have more opportunities to form alliances, trade, or engage in competitive gameplay.

2. More Opportunities for Social Play

One of the most significant advantages of crossplay is that it removes the barrier between platforms, allowing friends and guildmates to play together regardless of their preferred hardware. For example, a player using a PC can easily team up with their friend on Amazon Luna, making it much easier to experience the game together, chat, and tackle the various content New World has to offer.

3. Flexible Gameplay Options

Amazon Luna’s cloud gaming technology means players can stream New World on a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs. By enabling crossplay, you open up a wider range of possibilities for playing the game whenever and wherever you choose. Whether you’re on a powerful gaming PC or streaming on a TV, the experience is seamless, with crossplay ensuring that everyone can join the same server.

4. Game Balance Considerations

With crossplay enabled, players can join in on activities like PvP, expeditions, PvE missions, and world events, all while interacting with people on both platforms. While some players may worry about performance differences between PC and cloud gaming, Amazon Game Studios has worked to ensure that both platforms offer comparable gameplay experiences, with matchmaking tailored to give everyone a fair shot.

Things to Keep in Mind About Crossplay in New World

While crossplay adds many advantages to the game, it’s important to consider a few factors that could impact your experience:

1. Performance Differences

While Amazon Luna provides a solid cloud gaming experience, some players may notice performance differences between playing on a high-end PC and streaming through Luna. Issues like lag, frame drops, or input delay could affect those on cloud platforms. However, for most players with a strong internet connection, the differences may be minimal.

2. Server Restrictions

Players should note that some servers may have specific platform restrictions, meaning crossplay could be limited in certain regions or worlds. Ensure that you and your friends are playing on the same server to fully enjoy crossplay.

3. Input Methods

Another consideration for crossplay is input method differences. On PC, players generally use a mouse and keyboard, while those on Amazon Luna might be using a controller. This can sometimes affect gameplay, especially in fast-paced combat situations. However, New World has been designed to accommodate both input methods fairly, and with practice, players can adjust to these differences.

Conclusion

Activating crossplay in buy New World Coins is a straightforward process, and given that it is enabled by default, players can enjoy the game with friends across different platforms right away. Whether you are on PC or Amazon Luna, crossplay helps expand the community, increase social engagement, and improve overall matchmaking times. The ability to join forces with players from both platforms enhances the experience, making it easier to collaborate, conquer, and explore the world of Aeternum together.

By following the steps outlined in this guide, players can easily manage crossplay settings to suit their preferences, ensuring that they have the best possible experience in this expansive and ever-evolving MMORPG.

Best Builds For Greatsword And Bow In New World

In New World, players will customize the build that suits them best according to the battle situation. Therefore, meta builds may not necessarily be the best builds in some cases.

Take PvP as an example. This mode is just a small-scale battle between players and players, so more attention is paid to the player’s own construction. And some large-scale wars generally pay attention to the cooperation between players. Each player has a role to play, so their builds are primarily meant to serve the group as a whole. In addition, since each server in New World has its own characteristics, players will first consider what type of opponent they will encounter when making a build. As long as your custom build is good, you can use your build to perform well and have the chance to  buy New World Coins lead your company to victory. Likewise, your company and faction members will think hard about what their best builds are.

All New World players, newbies and veterans alike, need to take care when it comes to customizing their builds and choosing their weapons. That is to fill in their deficiencies according to the conditions of the weapons themselves. Specifically, you’ll need to use one weapon to make up for what the other lacks. For example, the higher the Bow’s Dexterity, the more powerful the weapon will be. And if Great Sword wants to exert a huge effect, its Dexterity and Strength need to be further improved. So when assigning points, you might as well dump them all on Dexterity. This effect is better than distributing between Strength and Dexterity. Especially when you crank up your Dexterity to 300, you can also deal heavy hits to enemies while dodging quickly. While it says this effect only activates every 10 seconds, combining it with the Aggressive Shift and Keen Posture Great Sword passives provides regular crit damage. Next, I’ll focus on a PvP Bow and Great Sword build guide.

Best Build For Great Sword

If you focus more on PvP and PvE modes, then your builds will mainly rely on skills and passives. And these skills and passives mainly come from the Onslaught tree. In this way, if the player still wants to be a tank, he can choose other weapons.

A Great Sword’s defense is much lower than its attack potential. But in order to make better use of Great Sword, you must use it under the premise of ensuring good defense. Therefore, you can use the Onslaught skill to New World Gold upgrade this weapon. This not only guarantees the speed of upgrades, but also allows re-speced points in the future.

There are actually two “stances” in Great Sword, Onslaught and Defiance. Both of these stances are usually triggered by using skills in their respective trees. If you want to pull enemies back when they run away, you can choose the Roaring Rupture skill from the Defiance tree and the Adaptive Rupture passive. The healing aspect of Defiance will allow players to be more self-sufficient while fighting. If you are a Life Staff user in New World and have a good build, then you should definitely try to participate in PvP.

Best Build For Bow

Speaking of Bow’s PvP builds, you can basically find them all in the Hunter tree. This is mainly because the Skirmisher track has more close-range abilities, crowd control, and mobility.

Close-range abilities and crowd control are not as useful when using the Great Sword with a Bow, since some players may use the Great Sword for melee combat. If you plan on using bows for close quarters combat, make sure to choose the Evade Shot from the Skirmisher tree in your build. Because this skill has strong mobility. As far as New World weapon tiers go, Bows have been popular in PvP since the game’s launch.

Of course, if you want to get more sophisticated weapons in New World, you still need to invest a lot of New World Coins. If you have a lot of money, you might as well prepare more.
