Discovering the Route to the Ruins of Unte
Finding the entrance to the Ruins of Unte requires navigating through the labyrinthine Shadow Keep. Commence your journey from the ‘Main Gate Plaza’ Site of Grace within the keep, accessible after overcoming the formidable Golden Hippopotamus.
Proceed westward through the Shadow Keep until you encounter a landscape adorned with flaming boats. Amidst this scene, eliminate the lurking militia and locate a ladder adjacent to a corpse bearing a Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot. Descend this ladder and venture through a concealed passageway behind a waterfall. Further descent awaits you beyond another ladder, leading to a storeroom housing the ‘Domain of the Dragons’ painting.
From this storeroom, uncover an illusory wall to reveal a hidden pathway. Traverse this newly unveiled passage until you confront a stone coffin of ominous allure. Enter this coffin to embark on a watery descent down a waterfall’s edge.
Upon emerging from the coffin’s depths, activate the ‘Castle Watering Hole’ Site of Grace, casting your gaze directly towards the looming silhouette of the Ruins of Unte.
Penetrating the Heart of the Ruins of Unte
Approaching the entrance to the Ruins of Unte reveals a formidable obstacle in the form of an extinguished Furnace Golem. To breach this barrier and access the ruins’ interior, navigate to the northern edge where a crumbling building offers ascent via its walls and red-draped rooftops. Along this treacherous path, scavenge Lost Ashes of War and Smithing Stones from fallen warriors.
Upon reaching the precipice near the extinguished Furnace Golem, refrain from attempting a futile ascent. Instead, craft a Hefty Furnace Pot, essential for reanimating the dormant golem. This potent concoction requires ingredients obtainable within the Shadow Realm, including Redflesh Mushroom, Ember of Messmer, and Furnace Visage. Notably, Ember of Messmer lies within a nearby building to the south, while Furnace Visages are salvaged from deceased Furnace Golems within the vicinity.
By hurling the Hefty Furnace Pot at the extinguished golem, you provoke its revival. Swiftly make your way past the now-active guardian into the depths of the Ruins of Unte. Beware, a second Furnace Golem lurks submerged to the south and may assail you upon nearing the ruins.
Inside the ruins, coveted artifacts await discovery. Seek out the Stone-Sheathed Sword from a designated grave on the right and procure the spell ‘Giant Golden Arc’ from a chest within the chapel’s confines.
Before departing, secure the Revered Spirit Ash concealed behind the ruins, accessible via a breach in the eastern cliffs. Retreat southwards and activate the ‘Recluses’ River Upstream’ Site of Grace to ensure safe passage from the vicinity.
